There are things that don’t explain spring. They simply bring it with them.
You place it on the table, and the room grows quieter. It’s as if someone opened a window, but without the chill.
The candle is a willow branch. Tall, slender, with fluffy catkins. So detailed that you catch yourself thinking—what if it’s real? Brown bark with texture, soft gray-gold buds. It smells of wax. Not perfume, just wax and warmth.
And at the bottom—a little bird. White, serene. As if it’s sitting there, holding this branch it brought itself. A golden imprint of a leaf on its wing. Barely noticeable, but without it, it just wouldn’t be the same.
And this whole composition doesn’t look like mere decor. It’s like a little story that’s already become part of the home.
And here’s the strange thing—I don’t want to light it.
